Paul Idoko Enenche is an Abuja-based Pastor in Nigeria. He is the founder and senior pastor of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria.
Nigeria is a country with many religious beliefs. One of the foremost religions in Nigeria is Christianity. Thanks to anointed men and women of God who have continually stood to keep the fire of Christianity burning in Nigeria. One of such men is Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel (DIG). Pastor (Dr.) Paul Enenche is a man trained in science but decided to follow a pastoral path, and through this he has influenced many men and women across the globe positively. EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Paul Enenche was born in Otukpo on June 4, in the year 1968, to the family of Chief D.E Enenche the paramount ruler of Orokam District in Ogbadibo Local Government Area. He is the younger brother to General John Enenche Nigeria’s Defence Spokesman. He is of the Idoma ethnic group in Benue State, Nigeria. While growing up, Pastor Paul Eneche faced various challenges; although we can say these challenges prepared him for the future.
Speaking of his mother, she had a great influence in her son’s decision to become a pastor. His mother,Titi Enewa Enenche had an encounter with Jesus in 1958, which prompted her to devote her life entirely to God. Hence, she raised Pastor Paul and his siblings in the way of the Lord ensuring they participated in morning devotions.
Although raised as a Methodist, Pastor Paul Enenche’s life took another turn when he gained admission into the University of His to study Medicine and Surgery. He joined Deeper Life Campus Fellowship; this was when he began to take his Christian work seriously. He became convicted to sin and came to repentance after a series of inward convictions and questions about his eternity gripped his heart.
He went into full-time ministry after he had embarked on a personal retreat on the Plateau hills in Jos. He put aside his medical certificate and went to Abuja to start a church in 1996.
How The Name Dunamis International Gospel Came About.
Many people wonder where the name Dunamis comes from, obviously it isn’t an English word. Pastor Paul Eneche got the name of his church from the scriptures.
‘But ye shall receive power (Dunamis), after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.’ Acts 1:8
In ACTS 1:8, Dunamis is the Greek word for power. It means miraculous power and intense ability. Dunamis is a power source that reproduces itself without diminishing in intensity. The Ministry was named Dunamis International Gospel Centre, in response to God’s divine instruction given to the set man of the house -Dr. Paul Enenche.
Dunamis International Gospel Centre was established on November 10, 1996. The first Sunday service was held at the Abuja Centre for Arts and Culture Area 10. Church Services were held for two weeks before the church moved to the Abuja Sheraton Hotel and Towers, where services were held for six months. The church moved to its present site – Area 1, Garki Abuja – in June 1997. The church holds six services every Sunday and two every Wednesday. On September 14, 2014, the church broke ground for the construction of the Lord’s Garden, the Church’s International headquarters in Abuja. Bishop David Oyedepo arrived for the project’s foundation laying.
The International Conference Centre and Glory Dome in the Lord’s Garden has a seating capacity for seventy-five thousand people. The event was a gathering of several branch churches across the FCT, Abuja and environs who came to tap into the anointing that lays foundations for such an ultra-modern project.
Enenche established a Bible training programme known as the Dunamis School Of Ministry (DUSOM), to train leaders and future pastors. Enenche and his wife, Becky, are co-authors of the Seeds of Destiny, a daily devotional guide published monthly. Enenche is the overseer of Destiny Academy and Destiny College owned by the church. He is also the overseer of Destiny Publications, run by the church. The church started its own satellite television station in Nigeria with the establishment of Dunamis TV/Radio. The primary purpose of the television and radio broadcasts is to evangelize the world for Christ. Enenche’s messages feature prominently on the satellite station which has over three million viewers.
Enenche’s ministry is also involved in providing social amenities in several parts of the country including: roads, electric power, classrooms and school facilities, water supply, and health facilities. Pastor Enenche, while introducing his invited guest — W.F. Kumuyi during the dedication of the new 100,000 seater auditorium (an acclaimed largest auditorium in the world) in Abuja, confessed how the Deeper Christian Life Ministry laid foundation for his life and ministry when he was an active member of the Deeper Life Campus Fellow and Choir Member of the Deeper Life Church in Otukpo from 1986.

Being a medical doctor and lover of Christ, Pastor Paul Enenche found it disheartening whenever a patient dies. He couldn’t help think about how he could have spared the patients’ lives and introduced Christ to him. Hence, while being a medical student, he went to several rounds of evangelism, preaching to the sick, getting them saved. Pastor Paul recalls having various testimonies and many sick people healed.
Dr Paul Enenche went into full time ministry after he had embarked on a personal retreat on the Plateau hills in Jos. He started Dunamis International Gospel on November 10, 1996, two years after he married his wife Becky. According to him, the Church’s first church service was held at Abuja Centre for Arts and Culture. After two weeks, the church moved to Abuja Sheraton Hotel. Six month after, in June 1997, the church moved to its permanent site and has since exponentially increased.
His ministry is influenced by God’s servants such as W.F Kumuyi, Pastor David Oyedepo, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and Pastor Kenneth Copeland. Every Sunday, the church observes six services, full-house, and two mid-week services on Wednesday.
On September 14, 2014, Dr. Paul Enenche commenced the construction of the Lord’s Garden, the church’s moniker for its headquarters. Bishop David even arrived at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre headquarters to lay a stone in the foundation of the Lord’s Garden project. Dunamis Gospel International Centre has the biggest church auditorium in Nigeria yet, Glory Dome with 100,000 seat capacity. The Glory Done dedication in 2018 was a massive celebration having dignitaries in attendance. The former vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo was present to grace the occasion. Another massive structure owned by the church is the International Conference Centre and the church holds four (4) major conferences annually.
Pastor Paul Enenche is a preacher of Christlike character and holiness. This is not surprising as he has a strong background in Deeper Life Ministry. He is a preacher of faith and prosperity. He has been heavily influenced by Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel.
Pastor Paul Enenche Impact
As a man passionate about impacting his generation and others to come, Pastor Paul Enenche has established various organizations to ensure this. He is the founder of Dunamis School of Ministry, which is a Bible training platform for spiritual growth. He is also the pioneer behind the Destiny College and Destiny Academy, a place where leaders and pastors are taught, groomed and nurtured.
In addition, he also founded Destiny Publications and his Church has its own satellite TV station. His wife, Becky Enenche is the visioneer behind the Seeds of Destiny, a daily devotional guide produced monthly. Pastor Paul Enenche also has humanitarian services that his church renders. Occasionally, Dunamis Church offers relief materials to victims of natural disasters such as flood. Children of widows also get the benefit from Scholarship to sponsor their education. In addition, various employment opportunities have been offered to people through him and his church. Last year, he distributed medical equipment to Abuja hospitals to improve COVID-19 treatment. Also, last year
Pastor Paul Eneche constructed a road at Mararaba in Nasarawa State costing him about 40million NGN.
