Benue State University is located in Markurdi the Capital city of Benue State Nigeria with over 35,000 students. BSU is one of the oldest State universities in Nigeria established 32 years ago.Established in 1992, BSU offers a wide range of academic programs across disciplines through its various faculties and departments. The university is overseen by the Benue State government and accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

How much is Benue State University’s Acceptance fee?

All new students are required to make a one-time payment of N15,000 as the acceptance fee.

  1. Online payments: You can pay your school fees online through the BSU e-portal that’s available online. You can pay your school fees anyway in the world using your bank account or your debit card
  2. Bank Payment: This method requires your physical presence in the bank with your cash or cheque to make payments. Do ensure you properly documents the teller used in making payment as you would need it at the school bursary
  3. ATM : Make use of the Quickteller-supported ATM terminals to pay your school fees efficiently. This fast and convenient option enables payment with your ATM card, and you will receive a transaction reference number as proof of your payment.
  4. Bursary Payment: While the least preferred option, you can visit the BSU Bursary on campus to pay your school fees. Keep in mind that this may involve dealing with queues and potential delays. Be sure to present your admission letter and other necessary documents as proof of your identity.

  • Visit The school portal , in the payment menu choose the e-payment option
  • You’ll be redirected to where you will fill out a form with the program you intend to pay for, the year and your application number to generate a payment reference number

After the uploading of your result on jamb portal you wait for the school release their Post UTME registration form. 

You will buy the form do your registration, upload your olevel result state of origin birth certificate on BSU portal, BSU will screen those uploaded documents and forward your name to JAMB for admission, JAMB also will check your uploaded olevel on their portal before offering you admission.

Later BSU will release their own admission list on the school portal, you pay for admission checking N500 upon giving admission, you pay for acceptance fee to accept the admission N15, 000 do you online pre – registration and registration for online screening, upon successful online screening you pay your school fee, register your courses, pay for GST and register it, and proceed for physical screening, after physical screening, a four file will be giving to you, you photocopy all your screening forms and other documents inside the four files, arrange them accordingly , attach passport and submit at various offices, remember you will still make some expenses during submitting them like paying for faculty journal, association dues, departmental registration, dues and T-shirt etc. Then you are done.

THINGS TO DO BEFORE POST UTME REGISTRATION:

  1. Uploading of Olevel Result on JAMB portal: Towards uploading olevel result on JAMB portal which is a mandatory requirement for admission. And it is lately required that the type of olevel to be use for the upload should either be original or statement of olevel result, online slip not advisable. And if you have uploaded your olevel before kindly check to ensure the olevel still reflecting, not blur and properly uploaded without no error in the subject and grading input, to check or upload your olevel result, you can contact us at JOE PIANO COMPUTER BSU MAKURDI.

 

  1. TO CHECK YOUR UPLOAD you need to have linked your email to JAMB, and for those linking, it is advisable that you don’t use the email you have used before for previous JAMB to link for this 2023 JAMB to avoid any complications in your CAPS. Preferably create another email, ensure you keep your sim card save, keep your email login details save, once you linked you jamb reg number to your email, automatically JAMB will send you an email containing ur password i.e cand2bb309 to your email inbox.

BSU 2023/2024 POST UTME AND ADMISSION PROCESSES:

  1. The post UTME Registration
  2. Uploading of document on BSU portal (documents include; Olevel, State of Origin, Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age.
  3. The school will screen those documents you uploaded before offering you admission.
  4. After the admission you will accept it by paying the acceptance fees of 15k

You can get it at National population census or get a declaration of age from any court of appeal.

  1. State of origin:

You can get it from your local government of origin, or get it from your state Secretariat or the issuing authority for the Certificate of State of Origin is either the State Liaison Office, the Local Government Secretariat of the applicant within the issuing State.

Or At the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investments of Nigeria is the Competent Authority in the issue of Certificate of Origin, some of these authority has been delegated to NACCIMA, and The Nigerian Customs Service.

Once JAMB offer you admission there is 90% assurance school will offer you, but in a case that School didn’t offer you the admission, then print your JAMB admission letter and take to BSU Academic office for scrutiny and possible admission thereafter. And if JAMB didn’t offer you admission and school did, then proceed the procedure and start school, upon graduation you will do JAMB Regularization.

 

  1. Note that your admission on JAMB will be revoke after two weeks if offered and didn’t accept it. So I advise always check admission status your caps.

 

  1. For Transfer Student: JAMB can’t offer you admission if you didn’t accept your course transfer. (Transfer student are those student who do not merit or whom choice of course are deny for some reason and still consider for admission in another course. So ensure you accept your course transfer, thereafter JAMB can offer you the admission.

 

  1. During Accepting you admission on JAMB CAPS ensure you have a good internet connection and also be careful not to decline the admission if not you have loose the admission for that session.

 

  1. Once school release it admission list, you will pay the sum of N500 through the school portal to check. Once you are given the admission, kindly proceed to pay the sum of N15, 000 to accept the admission on time, so you can be screen online to be able to go for physical screening or else upon delay might result to you losing the admission or face further issues.

 

  1. After payment of the Acceptance fee, proceed to do your online pre-registration and registration towards online screening.
